Admission Requirements

The Nurse Aide program is a comprehensive course designed to teach students the skills and abilities essential for providing basic care to patients in hospitals and to residents of long-term care (LTC) facilities. Graduates of this program will be able to communicate and interact effectively with patients, family members, and other health

The Nurse Aide program is a comprehensive course designed to teach students the skills and abilities essential for providing basic care to patients in hospitals and to residents of long-term care (LTC) facilities. Graduates of this program will be able to communicate and interact effectively with patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals, while maintaining patients’ rights. Graduates will know how to perform basic first aid and CPR, obtain vital signs, apply the elements of basic nutrition in meal planning, follow measures for infection control, and apply proper body mechanics. Graduates may find entry-level employment as nurse aides in various healthcare settings.

Admission Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old  


Able to read, write, and speak English.  


 Able to provide proof of education (minimum 8th grade education).   


Have a government approved form of photo identification and social security card.   


Must be able to pass a criminal background check 


Not listed on Employee Misconduct Registry


Not have a revoked status on Nurse Aide Registry.

Class Schedule

Classes are Monday-Thursday from 6pm-10pm. 

  

Clinical rotation is every Saturday.

No, graduates must pay the testing center directly before testing.

2020 Bureau of Labor Statistics lists the median pay for Nursing Assistants as 30,830 (14.82 per hours) with a projected growth of 8% from 2020-2030. Graduates of the Nurse Aide Program are eligible to take the Texas Nurse Aide Certification Examination after completion.

Cancellations and Refunds

A full refund will be made to any student who cancels the enrollment contract within 72 hours (until midnight of the third day excluding Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays) after the enrollment contract is signed.  A full refund will also be made to any student who cancels enrollment within the student’s first three scheduled class days, except that the school may retain not more than $100 in any administrative fees charged, as well as items of extra expense that are necessary for the portion of the program attended and stated separately on the enrollment agreement.
