It’s almost here!

Doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals rely on patient care technicians to assist with the critical day-to-day care some patients require. They provide hands-on assistance to serve patients' basic needs, which greatly impacts the lives of their patients and their patients' families. As a patient care tech, you may be able to perform some or all of the following tasks: 

• Provide basic patient care — bathing, feeding, catheter care, etc.  Acquire, distribute and administer patient care supplies 
• Perform safety checks and ensure cleanliness in patient rooms Accommodate any additional patient needs 
• Obtain EKG readings and monitor vital signs 
• Perform phlebotomy procedures 
• Provide emotional support to patients and families, particularly coping with grief and death

• Must be at least 18 years old    
• Able to read, write, and speak English.     
• Able to provide proof of education (minimum 8th grade education).     
• Have a government approved form of photo identification and social security card.     
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check   

This is a "stacked" training programs. Students start with the nurse aide classes followed by training on phlebotomy and EKG. Graduates are eligible to take the state certification exam for nurse aide and the national exam for phlebotomy and patient care technician. Graduates can obtain 3 certifications at the end of the program.

Tuition: $1,800 (does not include certification exam fees)

Course Length:10 weeks

Does the school offer job placement?   

Graduates will the ability to attend job fairs offered at the school and be notified of job openings available.
